The IWR-MAIN Water Demand Management SuiteŠ is CDM Smith's computer program for:
- Projecting municipal and industrial water demands
- Analyzing the potential water savings from water demand management (water conservation) programs and incorporating these savings into projections of water demands
- Analyzing the potential monetary benefits and costs of water conservation alternatives
The IWR-MAIN Water Demand Management SuiteŠ is comprised of two components: Forecast ManagerŠ and Conservation ManagerŠ. The Forecast ManagerŠ can assist water planners in projecting future water demands for municipal and industrial uses. The Conservation ManagerŠ can assist water planners in forecasting water demand and analyzing water conservation at the end use level. Once active savings have been estimated, the benefit-cost analysis tool of the Conservation ManagerŠ facilitates the economic analysis of active conservation programs.
